FIRE SCRIPTURE: 1 Kings 19:13-18

What does it mean to limit God? To limit God means believing that there are impossibilities with God. That is, you believe that there are certain things that God cannot do. Look at what Matthew 19:26 says, “But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.” It says that with God, all things are possible. It simply means that God can do all things. And I want you to know this before you read further: anyone who limits God does that to his own peril. James 1:6-8 says, “But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.”

Limiting God is a very serious matter. Don’t bother praying to God or relating with Him if you cannot trust Him fully. Doubting the ability of God to do anything will make you an enemy of God. Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” The first thing that qualifies you to receive anything from God is faith that He is able to do it.

Beloved, what is that problem or difficulty that you are facing and it looks as if there is no solution for you? What is that mountain before you that looks unsurmountable? I want you to know that there is nothing impossible for God to do. God’s ability to do is unlimited because He is the Lord who is strong and mighty (Psalm 24:8) and all power belongs to Him (Psalm 62:11).
