FIRE SCRIPTURE: Isaiah 37:21-36 (KJV)

 

Many believers are yet to fully understand and take advantage of the ministry of angels. The Bible describes them as ministering spirits that are sent to minister to the heirs of salvation.All truly born again believers are heirs of salvation. They are citizens of heaven walking on planet earth and they have the privilege to enjoy the services of angels who are God’s powerful agents and representatives. 

 

Whenever God wants to do something great and wonderful in the affairs of man, He uses His angels. They are His special purpose troops. They orchestrate supernatural intervention and bring God’s will to manifestation. Everyone who God used mightily had encounters with His angels. Today, as a believer, you are expected to use and enjoy the ministry of God’s angels.

 

In the Bible, there are several examples of angelic intervention. Each case produced supernatural salvation, deliverances, healings, turnarounds, and so on.

In our Fire Scripture for today, Isaiah 37, Sennacherib, the king of Assyria had turned his initial threat of invading Judah to action. This was during the reign of King Hezekiah of Judah. Hezekiah was a devoted worshipper of Jehovah. He took the frightening letter of Sennacherib to the house of God and prayed for divine intervention. The war credentials of Sennacherib were intimidating. 

 

He boasted of how the armies of several nations he invaded fell before his army and that Judah and its army will fall like them and there is no one who could stop him from taking Judah as he did with others. After King Hezekiah’s prayer, God sent Prophet Isaiah to him with a message, assuring him of divine help and stating categorically that the king of Assyria and his troop would be defeated. How did God fulfil His prophecy? 

 

He sent a warrior angel to the camp of the Assyrian army at night. Before daybreak, the warrior angel had killed 185,000 Assyrian soldiers, thus giving victory and jubilation to King Hezekiah and the inhabitants of Judah. That is an example of angelic intervention orchestrated by God. The result of the operation of that single angel was salvation, deliverance and miraculous turnaround. God used that incident to showcase His almightiness and to make the whole world know that He is God over Judah and all His children in all places. 

 

 

1. Father, I thank You for the provision and ministry of angels in my life, in the Name of Jesus.

2. Father, I need Your help, send Your angels to me now, in the Name of Jesus.

3. Angel of blessings and breakthroughs, locate me now by fire, in the Name of Jesus.

4. O God of Elijah, arise and let the troublers of my Israel receive angelic slap, in the Name of Jesus.

5. Powers boasting and defying my God, be executed in the order of Sennacherib, in the Name of Jesus.

6. Angel of deliverance, arise and set me free from bondage, in the Name of Jesus.

7. My life receive angelic visitation and intervention now, in the Name of Jesus.
