FIRE SCRIPTURE: 2 Kings 6:8-17 

 

It is a pity that many believers, who claim to be children of God are in fact, spiritually blind. Spiritual blindness in simple terms is when a person cannot see beyond his nose. There is more to the physical world than meets the eye. It takes only the spiritually alert to discern what is actually going on. A man may appear to be walking normally but spiritually, he could be walking with his head down. As a man young man, in the church where I used to attend with my family, I had an encounter that taught me a big lesson. One day, during a church service, a certain woman walked in and to me and most of the people around, she walked in normally with her two legs. 

 

However, to our greatest surprise, I heard our pastor rebuke her, saying, “Why do you come into the church with your head upside down. Adjust yourself and never try such again!” The woman promptly apologised and took her seat. 

 

It was a shocking experience because as far as I was concerned, the woman appeared normal but in the real sense of it, she was not. But it took the eyes that were spiritually open to see it.

 

Many people today are in trouble because they ate what they should not eat and where they should not eat. Some have made friends with their enemies thinking they were friends because they were spiritually blind. Many too have ended up with the wrong spouses and are wasted or about to be destroyed just because they were only able to see the surface and not what is beneath. Beloved, there is no price too much to pay to ensure that your spiritual eyes are opened. The devil cannot beguile you when your spiritual eyes are open.

PRAYER POINTS:

1. O Lord, open my eyes to behold wondrous things out of Your law, in the name of Jesus.

2. I reject spiritual blindness, in the name of Jesus.

3. I shall not be disappointed in life, in the name of Jesus.

4. ⁠Every enemy of the gift of God in my life, die, in the name of Jesus.

5. Every enemy of the light of God in my life, die, in the name of Jesus.

6. Father Lord, let Your light shine into every darkness in my life, in the name of Jesus.
