Daniel 3:17-18

If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to save us... But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen, but the biggest ingredient needed in the faith equation is Courage!

Courage is the fuel that propels us forward when the path ahead seems daunting and the shadow of fear is the bigger image!

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego's unwavering "yes" to God, even in the face of death, serves as a powerful testament to the strength that comes from a life anchored in divine conviction.

3 Keys To Courage

1. Embrace a Bigger "Yes"

At the heart of courage is a conviction that transcends fear. For Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, their "yes" to God was louder and more significant than any threat they faced. As leaders, the bigger "yes" is important for us too. Without a vision, a conviction, or a value that outweighs our fears, we'll find ourselves bulking under pressure. Courage doesn't deny fear but is driven by a commitment to something greater than fear itself. True courage begins when you have something - or Someone - worth giving your life to.

2. Choose Your Inner Circle Wisely

No one travels the road of life alone, especially the ones full of trials, challenges and temptations.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego drew strength from their unity, standing firm when others bowed. Our journey requires a supportive inner circle - mentors, family, friends - who share our convictions and are willing to stand by us. This circle might be small, but with huge impact. Courage is magnified in the company of faithful companions!

3. Define Your Lines

A life of courage is built on clear convictions. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego knew their boundaries: they would not bow to any idol. Their solid stance serves as a challenge for us to define our own lines between right and wrong.
Whoever or whatever controls the pencil in your life, draws the lines in your life.

Prayer Points:

Prayer Points

1. Pray that God will make your faith unshakable! That we will continue to trust in Him regardless of the pressures you face from the world around us

2. Father, grant me the wisdom to hand the 'pencil' of my life over to You. Let the promises of the Word shape my convictions and guide my actions.

3. Pray that as role-model leaders, God will empower us to lead by example, making tough decisions, standing up for what is right, and stepping out in faith.

4. Father, direct me to relationships that will lead to strong, supportive inner circles like that of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Bless me with friends, family, associates and mentors who will encourage me, stand with me, and strengthen our resolve to follow You.

5. Father, grant us the grace to take bold steps in faith, to say 'no' to what is wrong, and to pursue a path that aligns with Your purposes. That our lives may be a testament to the transformative power of living courageously for You.
