Topic: THE PIONEER MINDSET

Content:

*Joshua 3:4-5*
Then you will know which way to go, *since you have never been this way before*…and the Lord will do amazing things among you
It takes a lot of courage to leave everything behind and reach for a brand-new beginning.

It can be physically, emotionally, and mentally tasking to move on to where and what God's destined for us - new places/people, new ventures, new cultures, and an expansion of our reach.

Pioneers are people who do things for the first time!

*What makes a Pioneer?*

1. *Rare commitment*: What's most interesting about doing the right thing isn't in the complication, but in the sacrifice/cost.

'*2Tim. 2:4*
No one serving in the army gets entangled in everyday affairs; the soldier’s aim is to please the enlisting officer

2. *Courage* - God doesn't want us to be pressed into a mold but to constantly renew our minds! (Romans 12:1-2). As catalysts, pioneers take the lead and prepare the way for others to follow.

Heart of a warrior:  Warriors can't afford to sit down on the sidelines and wait for something to happen - they stand up and take action, whatever is required!

*2Sam. 23:20-21*
Beniah killed two lion-like heroes of Moab, a lion in a pit full of snow and an Egyptian warrior who had a spear with a club!

3. *Extreme passion* - They are able to bring others together, rally them to a cause and see them flourish.!

*‭‭Titus‬ ‭2:7‭-‬8‬*
In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness [8] and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us.

4. *Venture into the unknown* -  Jesus said, “Go! (venture into unexplored areas)” He didn’t say “Strut comfortably into!”

In the parable of the last supper, there were multiple reasons given....
One said, “I bought a piece of ground”, Another – “I bought five yoke of oxen”. Still another, “I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come!” (Luke 14:17-20)

What has God called you to pioneer?  A venture/business? A family? A team? What problems is he sending your way to solve? What's the new exploit he wants you to do?
