Matthew 23:11-12
The greatest among you must be a servant. But those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted
Jesus not only taught, but modeled the art of servant leadership. He showed that true greatness was not about exalting oneself, but being humble enough to wash another’s feet!
This is the Kingdom leadership model that turns the world upside down. The servant leader descends to greatness. By choosing to serve, the Lord lifts him up.
The path to greatness is the path of service. And who is the greatest of all? Jesus. For as He said, “The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45).
Prayer Points
1. Lord, grant me the grace to humble myself before You and others. Help me to seek opportunities to serve those around me, not for recognition, but out of genuine love and compassion.
2. Father, mold my heart to be more like Jesus. Fill me with His spirit of humility and willingness to serve. Help me to find joy and fulfillment in serving others as He did.
3. Father, give me the strength and courage to serve even when no one is watching. Help me to perform acts of kindness and service without seeking praise or acknowledgment.
4. Father, use me as an instrument of Your peace and love. Let my service have a lasting impact on those I encounter.
5. Lord, guide me in my roles of leadership, whether at home, work, or within my community. Help me to lead with humility, putting the needs of others before my own.
