Every year in Africa, Wildebeests migrate from one point to another. This migration is driven by their instincts to find greener pastures and suitable breeding grounds. It  involves crossing dangerous rivers and navigating challenging terrains, showcasing the powerful role of instinct in the survival and reproduction strategies of these animals. 

 

Humans on the other hand are driven by hope!! 

 

You and I are on a constant quest for hope. We all want a reason to get up in the

morning and motivation to continue. 

 

Where is hope to be found? In five life-changing words: I am with you always.

 

 

What's Hope got to do with it?

 

1. God hardwired human beings for hope. 

 

We don't live by instinct; we all find

identity, meaning, purpose, and inner sense of well-being in something.

 

 

2. What you place your hope in will set direction of your life. 

 

Whether you know it or not, your life path is directed hope. Whether it's hope in a philosophy a person, a dream, a location, or whatever, your life will be shaped by what you place your hope in.

 

 

3. Hope always includes an expectation and an object. 

 

We usually hope for something and hope that someone or somethings will deliver it. 

 

 

4. Hope, to be considered 'hope', has to fix what is broken

 

Hope that does not address your

needs isn't very hopeful. 

 

 

5. You always preach to yourself a gospel of somekind of hope

 

You're always reaching for hope and preaching to yourself, the validity of what you reach for 

 

What's the radical truth of the

gospel? 

 

Hope is not a situation. Hope is not a location. Hope is not a possession. Hope is not an experience. Hope is more than

an insight. 

 

Hope is a person, and his name is Jesus! 

 

The only one who comes to you and makes a commitment of hope: "And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

Can there be anything more calming than that!? 

 

Prayer Points

 

1. Thank God for giving us giving us hope. Pray for the courage to embrace the identity, meaning, and purpose found in Him. Psalm 42:5 

 

2. Ask for God's guidance in placing your hope in Him, the source of direction for your life. Proverbs 23:18 

 

3. Pray for the grace to hinge your hope on God. The grace to understand the principle of rest. Psalm 62:5 

 

4. Ask God to repair whatever is broken in your life. So that your hope in Him will bring healing and restoration. Jeremiah 17:7
