“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go”
True fear is the only emotion that happens in the presence of danger. If you are not in danger, then what you are feeling is not fear but anxiety. The F.E.A.R. that most people feel is really a False Expectation Appearing Real.
For example, Bowman’s Paradox is the observation that top leaders often take excessive risks when in danger of underperforming. They see the target eluding them, so they become desperate and irrational to meet it. They “double-down”.
If, instead, leaders ignore this fear and deal with the reality on the ground, they might actually turn things around and even beat the performance benchmarks
This is the confidence we ought to have in God!
How can one act courageously if there is no fear to conquer? If there was no reason for one to be fearful, there would be no reason to label the hero, or Joshua, in this case, as courageous. He would simply be going about his day, doing normal things that didn’t require courage at all.
Joshua’s redefinition of fear is what made him different!
God never told Joshua to not feel fear; he said “do not be afraid.” They’re different concepts: one is a natural emotion, the other is an action. We control one, not the other.
Per my understanding, God said to Joshua: When it's time to lead the Israelites, let that fear turn into confidence!

1. Pray against every past experience that has that has brought fear into your life, to take its leave in Jesus name
2. Decree that because Christ lives, your tomorrow is secured, and you shall no longer be threatened by the fear of what tomorrow may bring
3. Pray that doors that have been closed as result of fear in your life, begin to open.
4. Declare that you are free from all issues that have found their way into your life through fear, in Jesus name!
5. Let’s ask God for supernatural experiences and miracles that will increase our faith and trust in him
