Topic: ARE YOU DOING THE FATHER'S BUSINESS

Content:

 Luke 19:13

Before he left, he called together ten of his servants and divided among them ten pounds of silver, saying, ‘Invest this for me while I am gone'.

Jesus told His disciples a parable to help them understand that it wasn’t yet the time for Him to set up His earthly kingdom.

No one knows when Jesus will return, but we know this - we are to do the Lord’s business until He comes again, we are to occupy until comes.

*1 Cor 12:7*
The Spirit has given each of us a special way of serving others.

What are you doing with the spiritual investment, that the Lord has given you?

*The Investment Journey*

God loaned the talents to them, told them what to do with it but didn't tell them the "How", "Where", "Who", "When" etc. This was where preparation was meant to meet opportunity!

*Prayer Point*
1. Pray that God will give you the wisdom to invest your life in ways that honor and advance His kingdom, knowing that everything you have is a loan from Him, to be used for His glory.

........he was going to be away while they managed these "talents". These disciples weren't going to be under his watch!

*Prayer Point*
2. Father, I receive the grace to steward every opportunity you give to me with humility and strength

With what God has placed in our hands, he's called us to live fully in each day, not in the future. God evaluates the faithfulness of your management based on what you do with what you have now, not what you might do someday if you have more.

*Luke 19:16-19*
The first one made ten more, he got ten cities. The second made five more, he got five cities.

In economic terms, one talent represented about 20 years wages, or the working lifetime of a day labourer. God's reward to them was the earnings of ten and five cities respectively

*Prayer Point*
3. Father give me the supernatural sight to see beyond the temporal and to invest my life in the eternal. Help me to understand that I'm contributing to something far greater than myself — God's everlasting kingdom.

*Luke 19:20-26*
The last one who kept it away, had it taken away from him and given to that who had ten!

*Prayer Point*
4. Father, grant me the strength to stand firm in faith, and not make excuses for no putting the "talents" you've given me, to good use!

Don’t be tempted to fear or to make excuses this year. Bloom where you are planted to do exploits to God's glory. Let’s be about the Father’s business today!
