Today's sharing: Jesus, God saves
Opening: Psalm 68 - Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens.
Praise: Savior (Min. Theophilus Sunday)
SCRIPTURES: Isaiah 53
He was despised and rejected by mankind,
a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.
The punishment that brought us peace was on him,
After he has suffered, he will see the light of life and be satisfied
For he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
The name Jesus, Yeshua means literally God saves.
Each time we pronounce the name Jesus, we are calling God to our rescue.
By his blood shed at the cross, we are covered and protected once for all as long as we follow him (Luke 6:46-48).
The name of Jesus is the secret to carry God along, to bring God into our matter.
God paid it all.
Jesus at the cross is the symbol of God restoration, forgiveness, freedom, peace, light, life.
DO WE REALLY BELIEVE GOD SAVES?
PRAYER POINTS:
- Ask God to help us to know him more and better daily.
- Ask God to help us to put into practice his will(Jesus replied, Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching - John 14:23).
- Ask God to help us to also call the name of Jesus in the life of our colleagues, friends and neighbors.
- Let us give all the glory to the one who never fails
