FIRE SCRIPTURE: Jeremiah 51:20-23 (KJV)
“Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms;” – Jeremiah 51:20 (KJV)
God is in need of believers who are ready to serve as His battle axes. A Christian is a soldier and should be prepared for war at all times. Dear reader, my prayer is that when God calls for people to be His battle axe, you will declare: “Lord, I want to become your battle axe.”
In Jeremiah 51:20, God said, “You are my battle axe and you are to break into pieces ten things: The nations, the kingdoms, the horse and his rider, the chariots and his rider, men and women, old and young, young men and the maid, the shepherd and his flock, the husbandman and his oxen and the captain and rulers.”
There are spiritual implications of those ten things God is asking you to go and break, but the bottom line is that there is a battle to fight and you are in a war. Even if you do not believe that you are in a battle or that you are fighting a battle, war has been declared against you anyway. If you like, you should fight; or if you like, do not fight; war has been declared against you. And you say “but I did not offend anybody. Why are they declaring war against me?” That is why the Bible calls them ‘the wicked’. You do not have to offend them. They are just not happy with you and they want to make sure you do not fulfil your destiny.
There is a battle on, and battles are fought with weapons. God is looking for battle axes. A battle axe is a weapon of war. There are battles and there are wars. One tragedy of life is for you to be in a battle and you do not even know that you are in a battle. It is a dangerous thing indeed.
You need to become His battle axe to wage against the enemy of destiny fulfilment. However, you cannot be God’s battle axe unless you are born again. This will make you to be useful and usable to God and His kingdom.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Powers waging war against answers to my prayers, your time is up, die, in the name of Jesus.
2. Every coven of the wicked making decisions against me, catch fire, in the name of Jesus.
3. Every power of “promise and fail” affecting my progress, die, in the name of Jesus.
4. Every secret power in any house I have lived, working against my favour, die, in the name of Jesus.
5. Every law of satan blocking my promotion, break, in the name of Jesus.

PART 2: BECOMING GOD’S BATTLE AXE - SURVEILLANCE BEFORE BATTLE
Introduction
· The enemy is always planning destruction he never puts his guard down or never gives up. John 10:10
· In battle soldiers go on training before deployment.
· What is the preparation that we need before the battle, in battle and after each battle?
Before battle we need a good surveillance system: The eyes, the spirit of the Lord, the word, the temple
The Eyes
- To be fully aware what is happening spiritual.
- We need our eyes to be fully open otherwise we will always be caught off guard by the enemy.
- We have eyes but do we have sight? So we are unable to do a good surveillance.
FIRE SCRIPTURE – Jeremian 1:11 - 14
The word of the Lord came to me: “What do you see, Jeremiah?”
“I see the branch of an almond tree,” I replied.
12 The Lord said to me, “You have seen correctly, for I am watching[b] to see that my word is fulfilled.”
13 The word of the Lord came to me again: “What do you see?”
“I see a pot that is boiling,” I answered. “It is tilting toward us from the north.”
14 The Lord said to me, “From the north disaster will be poured out on all who live in the land. 15 I am about to summon all the peoples of the northern kingdoms,” declares the Lord.

The eyes of the heart = believe = faith
Ephesians 1:18 – 21
18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength 20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.
Faith - Hebrew 11
11 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. 2 This is what the ancients were commended for.
3 By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
Romans 10: 17 17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
