A lot of people thought it was the nails that were holding Jesus to the cross but it was his compassion and love. John 13:34

 

GOD SO LOVE THE WORLD – John 13:34

Love: Agape - (What is Agape Love?) Love that shows empathy, love that’s willful, pure, sacrificial. John 3:34 - This is the love God wants all of us who believe in him to give, the same manner that he loved. 

 

The key to loving well is sacrifice. The sacrificing of our time, patience, money, sanity, presence and desires. It is placing someone else's want over yours. 1 John 3:16

 

GOD-SENT HIS SON – That’s how God showed us his love. 

Matt 2137 - 41 He sent his one and only son to show his love and what does this mean to us today? We should love others just as he loved us - it takes effort and commitment, that’s why he called it a ‘New Testament’ – It is easy to love those who love you but how do you love those who don’t? Those who hurt you? (Father, help me to forgive them). 

 

[Matthew 18:21-22] – we should show resilience and commitment to loving beyond one issue or several of what others do to us. God is teaching us through all these in-between – that’s what God has called us to do ‘to love’ as believers - (Agape Love) - unconditional love. 

Questions to ask ourselves? When our situations change do we still love? Who in your life needs to experience that sort of love? (That love that they’ve never seen before?) - The love that draws people to Christ - the love that's in you (IT’S HARD!) But guess what? God never called us to ease but to greatness - and whatever is great requires sacrifice.

 

Consider these questions:

God is the same yesterday today and forever his love never changes. Who do you need to forgive?

I wished everything got easier - Have you received his love? Guess what? When God sees you he sees Jesus and righteousness just because of this love.
