Exodus 17:8-13
8 Now Amalek came and fought with Israel in Rephidim. 9 And Moses said to Joshua, “Choose us some men and go out, fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in my hand.” 10 So Joshua did as Moses said to him, and fought with Amalek. And Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.
11 And so it was, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. 12 But Moses’ hands became heavy; so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. And Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. 13 So Joshua defeated Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.
What Are Laws?
Laws are fixed, universal rules that govern a system. In both the natural and spiritual realms, laws operate with consistency and predictability. Laws do not change based on circumstances or emotions; they work regardless of personal belief.
I. SPIRITUAL
1. Law of Faith
"The just shall live by faith." – Romans 1:17
"Without faith it is impossible to please God." – Hebrews 11:6
🌿The law of faith governs how we access the unseen realities of the Kingdom. It requires trusting in God's Word, character, and promises even when logic, senses, or emotions contradict it.
2. Law of Sowing and Reaping
"Whatever a man sows, that he will also reap." – Galatians 6:7
"Give, and it will be given to you." – Luke 6:38
🌿This law governs the principle of cause and effect in the spiritual realm. Every seed—whether physical, verbal, emotional, or spiritual—produces a corresponding harvest.
II. PSYCHOLOGICAL/MENTAL
3. Law of Identity
"As a man thinks in his heart, so is he." – Proverbs 23:7
"You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood..." – 1 Peter 2:9
🌿Your identity in Christ determines your reality. Knowing and living from your God-given identity is essential to fulfil your Kingdom purpose.
III. PHYSICAL
4. Law of Diligence
"The hand of the diligent will rule." – Proverbs 12:24
"Do you see a man diligent in his work? He will stand before kings." – Proverbs 22:29
🌿This law states that persistent, consistent, and wholehearted effort leads to elevation. Diligence honours God and produces fruit over time.
5. Principle of Competence
"Every skilled person to whom the Lord has given ability..." – Exodus 36:1
"Whatever you do, do it as unto the Lord..." – Colossians 3:23
🌿Excellence in your gifts and calling is a Kingdom principle that opens doors of influence. God equips you not only spiritually, but also practically to impact your world with skill and wisdom.
6. Law of Relationships
“Iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." – Proverbs 27:17
"Bad company corrupts good character." – 1 Corinthians 15:33
🌿God designed life and purpose to be fulfilled through divine relationships. The right relationships accelerate destiny, while wrong ones can derail it. Your foremost relationship is with God.
