Faith Grows in the Dark

Mark 4:26-27
“This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how.”

John 12:24
“Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.”

3 Truths About Faith That Many People Overlook.

These truths reveal depth, tension, and transformative power of faith that go far beyond simply “believing in God.”

1. Faith is Not Just Belief—It’s Loyalty
In both Hebrew (emunah) and Greek (pistis), faith also means faithfulness, steadfastness, and allegiance.

> Many believe in God, but few are loyal to Him under pressure.

2. Faith is Rooted in Revelation, Not Emotion
Faith does not originate in feelings—it responds to what God has revealed (through His Word, His voice, or His character).

If you wait to feel it, you’ll rarely live by it. (“The just shall live by faith.”)

3. Faith Grows in the Dark
The most mature faith is not built in clarity but in confusing, painful, or silent seasons.

God hides not to abandon, but to deepen your pursuit and sharpen your perception.

> The darkness becomes the divine soil God works in.

Psalm 139:11-12
“Even in darkness I cannot hide from you. To you the night shines as bright as day. Darkness and light are the same to you.”

Isaiah 45:3
“I will give you treasures of darkness, and hidden riches stored in secret places, that you may know that I, the Lord, who call you by name, am the God of Israel.”

Deuteronomy 29:29
“The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us…”

> You are led to the secret and hidden things in darkness.
