What Will You Leave Behind? Redefining Inheritance God's Way
Genesis 25:5-6
And Abraham gave all that he had to Isaac. But Abraham gave gifts to the sons of the concubines which Abraham had; and while he was still living he sent them eastward, away from Isaac his son, to the country of the east.
Luke 15:11-14 and 25
To illustrate the point further, Jesus told them this story: “A man had two sons. The younger son told his father, ‘I want my share of your estate now before you die.’ So his father agreed to divide his wealth between his sons.
“A few days later this younger son packed all his belongings and moved to a distant land, and there he wasted all his money in wild living. About the time his money ran out, a great famine swept over the land, and he began to starve. He persuaded a local farmer to hire him, and the man sent him into his fields to feed the pigs.
Luke 15:25-31
“Meanwhile, the older son was in the fields working. When he returned home, he heard music and dancing in the house, and he asked one of the servants what was going on. ‘Your brother is back,’ he was told, ‘and your father has killed the fattened calf. We are celebrating because of his safe return.’
“The older brother was angry and wouldn’t go in. His father came out and begged him, but he replied, ‘All these years I’ve slaved for you and never once refused to do a single thing you told me to. And in all that time you never gave me even one young goat for a feast with my friends. Yet when this son of yours comes back after squandering your money on prostitutes, you celebrate by killing the fattened calf!’
“His father said to him, ‘Look, dear son, you have always stayed by me, and everything I have is yours.
What Is an Inheritance?
An inheritance refers to the acquisition of assets, rights, or traits passed down from predecessors, typically from parents to their offspring. This transmission can encompass:
• Property and Wealth: Physical assets such as real estate, financial holdings, and personal belongings.
• Legal Rights: Entitlements conferred through legal instruments like wills or through statutory succession laws.
• Genetic Traits: Biological characteristics inherited through genetic material, influencing physical and health attributes .
• Spiritual wealth This are the spiritual convictions, mantles, blessing that can be transferred to the next generation (generations blessing)
Deutronomy 6:1-2
“These are the commands, decrees, and regulations that the LORD your God commanded me to teach you. You must obey them in the land you are about to enter and occupy, and you and your children and grandchildren must fear the LORD your God as long as you live. If you obey all his decrees and commands, you will enjoy a long life.
Verse 7
Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.
Verse 20:21
“In the future your children will ask you, ‘What is the meaning of these laws, decrees, and regulations that the LORD our God has commanded us to obey?’
“Then you must tell them, ‘We were Pharaoh’s slaves in Egypt, but the LORD brought us out of Egypt with his strong hand.
THE FIVE THINGS THAT QUALIFY AS AN INHERITANCE.
YOUR CONVICTIONS.
Your philosophies, beliefs and mindsets.
Your convictions are a summation of your philosophy, beliefs, mindset.
Genesis 18:19

• “Names have POWER”
• Even Jesus gave us his name. Philippians 2:9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name.
• The name of a man is a track record of investments of many years.

• Relationships can create exceptions.

Genesis 41:12-14
Now there was a young Hebrew man with us there, a servant of the captain of the guard. And we told him, and he interpreted our dreams for us; to each man he interpreted according to his own dream. And it came to pass, just as he interpreted for us, so it happened. He restored me to my office, and he hanged him.”
Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him quickly out of the dungeon; and he shaved, changed his clothing, and came to Pharaoh.

But the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.

• To successful transfer all your inheritance you finally need to transfer you our mantle, spirit and anointing.
• Blessing the next generation and speaking a blessing over there life.
• You don’t only transfer but your teach them on how to maintain and to do exploits.
Genesis 25:5-6
And Abraham gave all that he had to Isaac. But Abraham gave gifts to the sons of the concubines which Abraham had; and while he was still living he sent them eastward, away from Isaac his son, to the country of the east.
Genesis 26:12-16
Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the LORD blessed him. The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous; for he had possessions of flocks and possessions of herds and a great number of servants. So the Philistines envied him.
Now the Philistines had stopped up all the wells which his father’s servants had dug in the days of Abraham his father, and they had filled them with earth. And Abimelech said to Isaac, “Go away from us, for you are much mightier than we.”
• Abraham gave Isaac all that he had!
• This is the reason why children fail to reproduce because we don’t pass on the mantle.
Genesis 27:1-2
Now it came to pass, when Isaac was old and his eyes were so dim that he could not see, that he called Esau his older son and said to him, “My son.”
And he answered him, “Here I am.”
Then he said, “Behold now, I am old. I do not know the day of my death. Now therefore, please take your weapons, your quiver and your bow, and go out to the field and hunt game for me.
Genesis 27: 32-34
And his father Isaac said to him, “Who are you?”
So he said, “I am your son, your firstborn, Esau.”
Then Isaac trembled exceedingly, and said, “Who? Where is the one who hunted game and brought it to me? I ate all of it before you came, and I have blessed him—and indeed he shall be blessed.”
When Esau heard the words of his father, he cried with an exceedingly great and bitter cry, and said to his father, “Bless me—me also, O my father!”
But he said, “Your brother came with deceit and has taken away your blessing.”
And Esau said, “Is he not rightly named Jacob? For he has supplanted me these two times. He took away my birthright, and now look, he has taken away my blessing!” And he said, “Have you not reserved a blessing for me?”
• "Men are not merely shaped by circumstances, but by the unseen spiritual realm that governs what we see in the physical."
Prayer item:
Pray that the Lord will anoint your head with oil; your cup runs over. That you will pass the mantle and anointing to the next generation.
