TRANSFORMED MIND FOR TERRITORIAL TRANSFORMATION – Part XLIX :  "A REKINDLING OF FIRE IN THE BODY OF CHRIST WITH RESPECT TO HER TRUE IDENTITY IN CHRIST"

Content:

This statement is both prophetic and strategic. It implies that:

🌳The Body of Christ (the global Church) is operating beneath her divine identity.

🌳The passion or "fire" for that identity has dimmed or been lost.

🌳A spiritual renewal or awakening is required—specifically through the lens of identity in Christ.

🔥 I. The Need for Rekindling: Diagnosing the Current State

Many believers today are:

➡️ Operating as servants, but not ruling as sons.

➡️ Doing for God, without first being with God.

➡️ Influenced by culture, instead of being ambassadors of the Kingdom.

This spiritual lethargy or misalignment reveals a few core issues:

- Loss of intimacy with God (Revelation 2:4 – “You have left your first love…”)

- Identity confusion (like the prodigal son who forgot he was always a son)

- Powerless Christianity – because authority flows from knowing who you are

When the Church forgets who she is:

- She imitates instead of initiates.

- She reacts instead of reigns.

- She conforms instead of transforms.

🔥 II. Biblical Foundations of Identity in Christ

1. We Are Sons and Daughters, Not Slaves

➡️ Romans 8:15-17 – “You have received the Spirit of adoption…”

➡️ Our identity is rooted not in what we do, but in who we are in Christ.

2. We Are Citizens of a Kingdom

➡️ Philippians 3:20 – “Our citizenship is in heaven…”

➡️ This repositions us from victims of earthly systems to ambassadors with heavenly solutions.

3. We Are a Royal Priesthood

➡️ 1 Peter 2:9 – “A chosen generation, a royal priesthood…”

➡️ We operate in both authority (king) and intimacy (priest).

4. We Are the Bride of Christ

➡️ Ephesians 5:27 – “…to present her to Himself a radiant Church…”

➡️ Our identity is relational, not just functional.

🔥 III. What Does "Rekindling Fire" Mean?

Fire in Scripture symbolizes:

➡️ Presence (Exodus 3:2 – burning bush)

➡️ Purity (Malachi 3:2 – refining fire)

➡️ Passion (Luke 24:32 – “Did not our hearts burn…”)

➡️ Power (Acts 2:3 – tongues of fire)

Rekindling the fire means:

- Returning to first love (Revelation 2:4)

- Fanning the flame of the Spirit (2 Timothy 1:6)

- Walking in fresh revelation of our Kingdom identity

- Bold action from a place of intimacy with God

🔥 IV. How the Loss of Identity Affects the Body of Christ

When the Church forgets her identity:

➡️ She becomes passive, fearful, performance-driven.

➡️ She misplaces her mission—focusing on religious rituals over relational restoration.

➡️ She imitates worldly success models instead of manifesting Kingdom wisdom.

Like Israel in the wilderness, many believers know God delivered them, but they don’t yet know who they are on the other side of Egypt.

🔥 V. Steps Toward Rekindling Identity-Fueled Fire

1. Return to Intimacy

➡️ Identity flows from relationship.

➡️ Psalm 139, John 15 – connection fuels clarity.

2. Teach Kingdom Identity Systematically

Many churches teach salvation but not sonship.

Include teaching on:

➡️ The believer’s authority

➡️ The believer’s inheritance

➡️ The mind of Christ

3. Cultivate Spirit-Fire Environments

➡️ Atmospheres of worship, prophetic ministry, and Spirit-led teaching help awaken spiritual identity.

4. Activate People in Their Roles

➡️ Identity is affirmed through doing—as people walk in calling, they discover capacity.

➡️ Ephesians 4 model: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers for equipping.

5. Challenge the Church to Arise

➡️ Preach identity with accountability.

➡️ Isaiah 60:1 – “Arise, shine, for your light has come…”

🔥 VI. The Result of a Rekindled Church

When the Body of Christ reclaims her identity:

➡️ Culture is transformed – not just accommodated.

➡️ The supernatural becomes natural – because sons walk in authority.

➡️ The harvest is reaped – as confident believers move in power and purpose.

➡️ Unity increases – because competition dies when identity is secure.

🔥 VII. Prophetic Insight

The Spirit is calling the Church:

➡️ Out of orphanhood into sonship

➡️ Out of religion into relationship

➡️ Out of hustle into holy authority

➡️ Out of borrowed fire into authentic passion

This isn’t just about revival in events; it’s about renewal in identity.
