Overcoming Persecution: Deliverance Comes.
Jesus said if they persecuted me they shall persecuted you also.
In this world you will have trouble, but rejoice for I have overcome the world.
Psalm.19:34 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
Acts 12:
Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church.
And he had killed James the brother of John with the sword.
Then because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also.
(These were the days of Passover - unleavened bread.)
So when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.
therefore Peter was kept in prison:
but prayer was made without ceasing
of the church unto God for him.
The pressing into God causes deliverance.
Note: Herod was targeting some: Christians
Those who stood out.
Those fighting for possession of territory who had A calling an̈d
Vision for Kingdom territory.
Peter in prison under careful watch,
Herod knew Peter as notorious for getting out of prison...
So he
Appointed 16 hand picked guards.
Who
Kept Peter in prison, under chains.
Peter was sleeping.. But the church was praying.
Romans 8:31
If God is for us, who can be against us.
Pray
Father God I thank You that You are a God who answers prayer & brings deliverance. I pray the church is motivated to pray for those under persecution. Bring them into divine deliverance.
Help us to overcome opposition. Many are the troubles of the righteous. But You deliver us from. The. All.
Because You are a mighty God.
