The inventor of the FM frequency at the time, was searching for a solution to the problem of ongoing static in AM frequency radios.

Eventually, he found that to eliminate issues with sound quality, he needed a much broader bandwidth than AM stations could offer - the bandwidth that an FM station occupies is twenty times bigger than an AM station………

 

*1 Corinthians 1:26*

For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength. Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth.

 

*How to tune keep our “Radios” to “God FM”?*

 

1. *Prayer*

Through prayer, we have the opportunity to practice the presence of God. By spending time in God’s presence, He listens and communicates with us. 

 

*Jeremiah 33:3*

“Call to Me and I will answer you, and tell you [and even show you] great and mighty things, [things which have been confined and hidden], which you do not know and understand and cannot distinguish.”

 

2.  *The Study Of His Word*

The constant study of God’s word leaves an imprint in our hearts, keeps it renewed and ultimately becomes our mind’s “Go-To” whenever we desire to hear from God. He will never tell us to do, think or say anything contrary to His Word. 

 

*James 4:8*

Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.

 

3.  *Sermon or Devotion*

Situations and distractions often drown out God's voice in our minds so we end up missing His frequency because we’re tuned in to hear some huge revelation; when, in fact, He is giving simple instructions.   

 

4.  *Through Other Believers*

By surrounding ourselves with other believers, we open ourselves to hearing from God. How many times have you been “troubled” about a decision and someone who know absolutely nothing about your internal conflict comes to suggest exactly the same decision you were considering to you?  

 

*Ecclesiastes 4:9-12*

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

 

5.  *Through Art and Nature*

When we look around you and soak in the beauty of God’s creations, we will find His truths displayed. All of his creations say something about Him and, consequently, something about us. Every one of nature’s processes natural is a reflection of something larger, a larger spiritual truth!

 

- The Four Seasons

- The planting of seeds

- The morning light that follows the night’s darkness

- Sunshine after rain!

 

Music, amongst other forms of art is one of the many ways I believe God uses to ignite the fire, spark joy in our hearts and pull us closer to Him. Wonder why we feel his presence during worship? We’re tuned to his frequency! (Proverbs 2:4-6)
