The Government of God: Headquarters

Introduction
Salvation is the first step. However, it’s not the endpoint in God’s kingdom.

Psalms 115:16 TPT: “The heavens belong to our God; they are his alone, but he has given us the earth and put us in charge.”

Ephesians 6:12 NKJV: “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

We’re ambassadors of God’s Kingdom with full dependency on our headquarters.

Our Headquarters
Hebrews 12:22-24 NKJV: “But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.”

Implications for us (like Ex17:8-16:
- Our Operational Centre and key essence of our lives here: Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven)
- Where God, our King and commander, his officers and other assistants reside
- Where our orders are issued
- Where our support are deployed, including supplies, systems of advantage (the blood, the Word, the Name, the Holy Spirit, etc.)
- Where we must report back to at end of service “Well done though good and faithful servant”

We aboutr the proverb: “don’t be so heavenly minded that you’re no earthly good”.

Our Jurisdiction - Earth
The king “needs” us here Psm115:16.

We must maintain the right balance - the priest-king equation.

Psalm 82:5-7 KJV: “They know not, neither will they understand; They walk on in darkness: All the foundations of the earth are out of course. I have said, Ye are gods; And all of you are children of the most High. But ye shall die like men, And fall like one of the princes.”

However, our headquarters is the focus for today.

Prayer Points:

Conclusion

We press for embodiment of the government of God. We serve to the extent that when we return back to our headquarters, we will be greeted thus: “Well done though good and faithful servant”
