Topic:  WHAT LEVEL OF INVESTOR ARE YOU?

*Gal. 6:7-10*

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

There are seven levels of investors according to a popular author:
Level 0: Those with Nothing to Invest
Level 1: Borrowers
Level 2: Savers
Level 3: “Smart” Investors
Level 4: Long-term Investors
Level 5: Sophisticated Investors
Level 6: Capitalists

This list comes useful in many ways but two key reasons are:
1. It helps us understand our current state and what our future state should be
2. It helps us understand the process of “building” and the mindset required to progress through each level

When God created Adam and Eve, He asked Adam to “work” the garden and have dominion over the earth. God made Adam to be an investor, a seed sower! This is very natural for man, even in our fallen state, to be investors and sow seeds.

Two areas of 'investing' that we need to be aware of:
1. What we are sowing in our own lives
2. What we are sowing in other people's lives!
The Bible encourages us to sow seeds of righteousness in our lives, and that of the Word in others.

*INVESTING & RETURN ON INVESTMENTS*

1. *Seeds are Small*
A seed is a very small thing, compared to the plant and the harvest it produces.
There are so many commandments in the Bible that are small things to ask of us
• "Comfort [encourage] one another"
• "Seek what is good for one another and for all men"
• "...pray for one another"
• "Use hospitality toward one another without grumbling"

2. *Seeds are Ordinary*
A tiny piece of diamond is also small but gets a lot of attention! Many don’t care so much about seeds because it’s not only small but ordinary!
We sometimes give up investing spiritual seeds because, each time we do, we feel it was too ordinary.

3. *Seeds are Faithful*
Small and ordinary as a seed may be, so long as it remains alive (under the right conditions), it will sprout when you sow it. The seed is faithful and reliable in doing what God meant it to do, when it is sown.
"Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains by itself alone. But if it dies, it bears much fruit" (John 12:24).

4. *Returns are identical to the seeds invested* (Gal. 6:7-8)
It is impossible to change the laws of God ... and one of the laws that God created was the nature of sowing and reaping, you get exactly what you sow in the harvest!

5. *Returns on all investments are timebound* (Gal. 6:9-10)
The one nice thing about this law of sowing and reaping is that if we are sense a bad harvest because of poor seeds sown, we can plow up that field and “replant,” (Hosea 10:12)

The biggest difficulty about this principle is the "*WAITING*" period!

Prayer Points:

*Prayer Points*

1. Ask God to give you the teach you to have the same patience and faith in sowing to the spirit, as the farmer has in sowing to the earth.

2. Ask God to uproot every poor seeds you have sown or that have been sown on your behalf, that will lead to bad harvest. Pray that he will give you supernatural wisdom to make better investments.

3. Pray that God will give you the grace to stay until your harvest comes, and not lose heart in well doing.

May God grant us all the grace to be wise investors, sowing good seeds in our own lives and in the lives of others, and let us trust in Him to bring the harvest in due time.
