“For everyone born of God is victorious and overcomes the world.”

 

It is a fact that citizenship by birth is conferred on you if you are born in Australia and at least one of your parents is an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia at the time of your birth.

 

According to the law that governs reproduction, the earth brings forth living creatures *after their kind*; cattle and creeping things and beast of the earth after their kind.

 

Therefore, if you are born of God, who are you?

 

The implication of being born of God is:

1. You have the seed of God

2. You have the DNA of God [*2 Peter 1:4*]

God is not a man, that He should lie. Nor a son of man, that He should repent.

Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken and will He not make it good and fulfil it?

Father, according to your Word, everyone born of God is victorious and overcomes the world. I walk in victory in every area of my calling and assignment: from the Family mountain to the Faith mountain of Influence

 

A closer look at the text in *1 John 5:4* suggests that this discussion may have been taking place within a legal environment, for example, in a courtroom. The scripture appears to be more than just a statement but a bold declaration by someone with profound understanding and revelation. This is an assertive proclamation by an individual who seems to be aware of their divine rights.

 

After this pronouncement, an objection (similar to *“Who is this King of glory?”* in *Psalm 24:8*) is raised. It was as if the adversary was inattentive to the earlier declaration. So he queries, “*Who is the one who is victorious and overcomes the world?*”

 

A witness responds: “It is the one who believes and recognises the fact that Jesus is the Son of God.”

 

There is always question about the validity of what Jesus Christ did for His body. Not because it was dodgy, but Satan always wants to keep the unsuspecting believer in darkness about who he is and what he now possess.

Father, I receive fresh revelation of your nature today as I place my trust in your integrity and ability.

 

Now we can appreciate the drama going on between a believer, God’s Word, and the Adversary (Satan) who believes he has a legal ground to prevent the manifestation of the word in the life of the believer.

 

Not satisfied with the witness’ response, Satan raised another objection: 

“I challenge this. You don’t have any basis to overcome. The world is mine.”

“Anyways, what evidence do you have that you overcome?”

 

*1 John 5:6b-8*

“It is the Holy Spirit that testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. For there are three witnesses: the Spirit and the water and the blood; and these three are in agreement [their testimony is perfectly consistent].”

 

According to *Psalm 24:1*, the Spirit testifies that “The earth is the LORD’s and the fulness of it; the world and those who dwell it.”

 

The Spirit testifies in agreement with the testimony of water that said “I was the vehicle of Baptism and I was there when God the Father acknowledged and affirmed Jesus Christ as His beloved Son, who came to die on the Cross of Calvary so that whosoever believes Him shall have everlasting life.”

 

The Spirit also testifies in agreement with the testimony of blood that speaks that “For there to be remission of sin, I, blood, had to be shed from the body of Jesus Christ.” The blood continue to speak against you, Satan.

 

In conclusion, you need to understand the agreement of the witness of the Spirit, water, and blood to understand that “Everyone who is born of God is victorious and overcomes the world.”

Father, as I walk in the reality of the agreement and alignment of the testimony of the Spirit, water, and blood, every objection of the adversary is denied or silenced in my life. I DoD every objection of the enemy today in Jesus Name.
