Three qualities of God you need to know and understand to live a victorious life: *Ability, Integrity* and *Mercy*.

 

God’s *Ability* speaks about His strength and might.

His *Integrity* speaks about His honesty, wholeness and consistency.

His *Mercy* nature encompasses His compassion or kindness shown in order to alleviate man’s suffering.

 

*Most believers want to be victorious, but without a fight.*

 

The word of God, which is the sword of the Spirit, contains God’s *Promises*, *Prophecies* and *Principles.*

*To wage a good fight, you need to understand the following*:

1. What has God said concerning your situation?

2. What scripture supports what He has said?

3. What’s your part to play? What’s God’s part?

4. How are you hiding God’s word in your heart?

5. Do you recognise that you are in a spiritual warfare?

6. What principles are you violating, disregarding or dishonouring? - financial, health, relationship, career, parenting, ministry, spiritual etc.

 

Father, according to *Ephesians 1:17*, grant me the spirit of wisdom and revelation (of insight into mysteries and secrets) in the deep knowledge of You so I can understand what is the immeasurable and surpassing greatness of Your power in and for me who believe, as demonstrated in the working of Your mighty strength, which You exerted in Christ when You raised Him from the dead and seated Him at Your right hand in the heavenly places.

 

*You reign in this life through demonstration of sufficient knowledge of the mysteries, secrets and wisdom of God*

 

*Dominion in this kingdom is knowledge- or light-dependent*

 

What about worry? What can we do?

Worry is a process that displays the limitation in man’s ability and possibility. While worry focuses on our ability, prayer focuses on God’s ability and integrity.

 

You cannot understand God’s ability or integrity until you believe in His *unconditional love* for you. His love undergirds *AIM*.

 

*Matthew 22:36-40*

“Master, which is the great commandment in the law?”

Jesus said unto him, “‘Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.’

This is the first and great commandment.

And the second is like unto it: ‘Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.’

On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets”

 

*Romans 8:35-39*

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

 

*When your experience seems to be inconsistent with the promised love of God, then your story is not over or finished. Wait for the next chapter!*

 

1. *Jesus*, the Son of God, was crucified and died on the Cross.

Next chapter: He rose victoriously and was given a name above all name.

 

2. *Joseph*, despite his prophetic dreams, was unjustly incarcerated in Egypt.

Next chapter: After interpreting the king’s dream, he was granted pardon, promoted and ruled as second to Pharaoh.

 

3. *David* anointed to be the next king of Israel, but was haunted down by Saul and his army. 

Next chapter: God delivered David and was later crowned king of Israel.

 

4. Prayerful *Daniel* was thrown in the Lion’s Den as a result of his commitment to serve God

Next chapter: God saved Daniel and he was later promoted by the king who issued a decree that everyone in his kingdom must fear and reverence the God of Daniel.

 

5. *Paul and Silas* were thrown in jail as servants of God

Next chapter: They were supernaturally delivered by an earthquake.

 

*Prayer Point*

Father, grant me the revelation of your love that I may understand, in spite of the challenges or adversity that I face, that nothing can separate me from your love.

 

*Ninety percent of the time, the antecedent to worry is a disregard or a dishonour of God, of men, or of principles.*

 

There is a one percent cause that is unexplainable.

 

*John 9:2-4*

“His disciples asked Him, Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he should be born blind?

Jesus answered, It was not that this man or his parents sinned, but he was born blind in order that the workings of God should be manifested (displayed and illustrated) in him.

We must work the works of Him Who sent Me and be busy with His business while it is daylight; night is coming on, when no man can work.”

 

Hence, *mercy* is needed, so that the right situation, person(s), and factors can align to obtain deliverance from your adversity.

 

*Prayer Point*

Father, according to *Hebrews 4:16*, you said I should come boldly to the throne of grace. After I’ve done all to stand, help me invoke your mercy and find grace to help in time of my adversity.

 

Father, I obtain fresh grace to pray always and not to faint. Help me to pray Your word rather than worry about my fears.
