“See, I will send the prophet Elijah to you before that great and dreadful day of the Lord comes. He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents; or else I will come and strike the land with total destruction.”

 

We live today among unprecedented family breakdown that has caused unprecedented social and physical ills. The family unit is clearly under assault by Satan. More specifically, it is fathers who have failed, although Satan’s assault shows up in other areas too.

 

*2 Timothy 3:1-4*

“But understand this, that in the last days dangerous times [of great stress and trouble] will come [difficult days that will be hard to bear]. 2 For men will be lovers of self [narcissistic, self-focused], lovers of money [impelled by greed], boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane, 3 [and they will be] unloving [devoid of natural human affection, calloused and inhumane], irreconcilable, malicious gossips, devoid of self-control [intemperate, immoral], brutal, haters of good, 4 traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of [sensual] pleasure rather than lovers of God.”

 

When family order disintegrates, comes the disintegration of social order.

 

The spirit of *rejection* is at the top of the mountain of family that must be dispossessed. 

 

*Rejection is defined as “the refusal to accept, consider, submit to, hear, receive, or admit.”*

 

The principality who sits atop the mountain of family is Baal.

 

Ills of Baal includes domestic violence. Abortion and homosexuality are a form of worship that strengthen Baal, and his goal is the disintegration of the family, which he knows will in turn disintegrate society.

*Reclaiming the Mountain of Media*

 

The mountain of media is currently occupied almost entirely by evil forces. Media refers to the news outlets that report and establish news - they actually create news: therein lies the power of the media.

 

Fear of Satan, disease, plagues, or war puts the heart of men and women on the wrong battlefield and conditions them to respond out of ungodly fears. It’s the fear of the Lord that is the beginning of wisdom. All other fears only serve to advance Satan’s kingdom. Fear typically opens the door to all other ills before the enemy can hold an individual in bondage.

 

Apollyon serves as the ruling spirit and occupy the top of the mountain of media. Apollyon means “destroyer” or “destruction.”

“The weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood]. Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. 5 We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ.”

 

We need a breed of evangelists who will promote the theme of Philippians 4:8 to take this mountain.

“How beautiful and delightful on the mountains

Are the feet of him who *brings good news*,

Who *announces peace*,

Who brings good news of good [things],

Who announces salvation.”

 

 

*Reclaiming the Mountain of Government*

 

The mountain of government, or politics, is a mountain that the Lord is beginning to position believers to invade and disciple. Because of the enemy’s firm grip on this mountain, it is a very dangerous mountain to take if one is not spiritually prepared for it.

 

Government administrate civil righteousness and justice at multiple levels. Though it is a widespread field that extends far, the top of the mountain is occupied by a relatively small handful of people.

 

The mountain of government is perhaps the most important of the mountains because it can establish laws and decrees that affect and control every other mountain. Whereas God’s government is established through service and humility, Satan’s government is established through manipulation and pride.

 

Satan sits at the top of this mountain, where he specifically functions as the Antichrist. His role over the nations is to stir and raise up whatever would defeat the purposes of God on Earth.

“Just look at your own calling, believers; not many [of you were considered] wise according to human standards, not many powerful or influential, not many of high and noble birth. 27 But God has selected [for His purpose] the foolish things of the world to shame the wise [revealing their ignorance], and God has selected [for His purpose] the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong [revealing their frailty]. 28 God has selected [for His purpose] the insignificant (base) things of the world, and the things that are despised and treated with contempt, [even] the things that are nothing, so that He might reduce to nothing the things that are, 29 so that no one may [be able to] boast in the presence of God.” 

 

*Reclaiming the Mountain of Economy*

 

*Luke 16:13”*

“No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will stand devotedly by the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and mammon [that is, your earthly possessions or anything else you trust in and rely on instead of God].”

 

Mammon wrestles for God’s seat in men’s life. He tells them he is actually their source for all true provision, and therefore for all peace and happiness.

“After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, possessing great authority, and the earth was illuminated with his splendor and radiance. 2 And he shouted with a mighty voice, saying, “Fallen, fallen [certainly to be destroyed] is Babylon the great! She has become a dwelling place for demons, a dungeon haunted by every unclean spirit, and a prison for every unclean and loathsome bird. 3 For all the nations have drunk from the wine of the passion of her [sexual] immorality, and the kings and political leaders of the earth have committed immorality with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich by the wealth and economic power of her sensuous luxury.”

 

*Reclaiming the Mountain of Religion*

 

“The four great religions on the earth are Christianity (2.1 billion followers), Islam (1.2 billion), Hinduism (900 million), and Buddhism (376 million). Other major religions are Chinese traditional/folk religion (394 million), which mixes various strains of Taoism, Confucianism, and Buddhism. African folk religions that often mix the occult and Christianity/Catholicism are practiced by more than 100 million. 

 

There are 14 million Jews, and millions spread out among other religious groups. Christianity is the fastest growing religion in the world, with Charismatic/Pentecostal being the fastest growing group within Christianity. More than 700 million Holy Spirit-filled Christians are in the world, and their numbers and influence are growing exponentially, particularly so in South America and Africa.”

 

“There is a religious spirit, and it will work at whatever level of commitment someone has in pursuing God. His job is to attach a feeling of religiosity to anything that is not direct worship of the Creator Himself. If we are relentless in our pursuit of God, this spirit will attempt to focus us on the good things of God to see if we’ll pursue them instead of God Himself. 

 

He will try to form idols or stack idols at every turn to steal God’s worship. If we won’t worship an obvious idol, he’ll work to get us idolizing a Christian leader, a doctrine, a manifestation, spiritual gifts, or God’s provision.”

“And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but *wait for the promise* of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence…But ye shall receive power, after that *the Holy Ghost* is come upon you: and *ye shall be witnesses* unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

 

 

The mountain of celebration includes the arts, music, sports, fashion, entertainment, and every other way we celebrate and enjoy life.

 

It must be taken because this is the mountain that captures the hearts of our youth. For several years of their lives, this is almost the only mountain that they (i.e., youth) care about, and from his position at the top, the enemy has been able to corrupt and thwart the destiny of entire generations.

 

The principality on this mountain of celebration is Jezebel, associated with seduction and lust. Seduction is a misinterpretation of romance, and lust is a misinterpretation of love. Jezebel works to sabotage all the pleasures of God.

“Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.

2 Praise the Lord with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.

3 Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.”

 

*Reclaiming of Mountain of Education*

 

All Satan has to do is get us to buy into one philosophical lie, and he can then take captive an entire mountain. Right now, he has us living and experiencing education through a left-brain grid.

 

Our left brain is verbal and processes information analytically and sequentially. It looks first at the individual bites of information and then puts things together to get the whole. A left brain processes thoughts step by step. Words are the primary reminder of information.

 

Our right brain, however, is visual and processes information intuitively and simultaneously. It looks first at the whole picture and then examines the details. The right cerebral cortex is connected to the left cerebral cortex by masses of nerve fibers, which allow messages to pass between them.

 

It’s important that we be confronted with certain realities about left- and right-brain thinking. Left-brain thinking, when it becomes dominant, squeezes out the things of the Spirit of God. The right brain isn’t the kingdom of God, but it’s the part of the brain God has created to be open to respond to His ways. It’s the chimney through which faith is accessed.

 

The church can either provide the real thing in its proper context or continue to let the media and the occult feed them the counterfeits. If we won’t prophesy, they’ll turn to psychic networks. If we won’t heal, they’ll seek out witch doctors with miracle cures. If we don’t lead them into the presence of God, they’ll find something else—New Age, drugs, music, Harry Potter, or anything else—to stimulate their otherwise lifeless heart.
