On Matthew 26:17 states that it was first day of the Festival of Unleavened bread which overlaps with Passover. 

 

Unleavened Festival, the command is the first day you removed unleavened bread from your households and to eat only unleavened bread from day one to seventh, leaven bread is eaten you will be cut out from Israel. (Exodus 12:15-20, Exodus 13:3-10) They Commanded by God to do for Israel to remember how haste they left Egypt that they don’t have time to make a leaven dough and ate unleavened bread (Deuteronomy 16:3-4) Leaven is reflecting into corrupt influences as mentioned by apostle Paul (1 Corinthians 5:6-8 & Galatians 5:9) and unleavened as a pure not corrupted bread like Jesus, the Bread of Life, whoever comes to Him will never hunger and thirst (John 6:25-29).

 

1. Let us stay clear from the leaven corrupt patterns of the world and our egoic selves in our personal lives and our households too rather partake Jesus daily thru His word and communion with the Holy Spirit (Romans 12:2). 

 

Passover is the commemoration of Gods deliverance of the Hebrew from slavery in Egypt and His creation of Israelites. Passover lamb in Egypt that was sacrificed at the eve of exodus (Exodus 12) foreshadows Jesus, the Lamb of God that will take away the sins of the world. (John 1:29). Just as the blood of the lamb rescued the Hebrew people from slavery, it’s the blood of Jesus that saves us from the slavery of our sins. Apostle Paul urged us to get rid of the old yeast or leaven, so that we will be a new unleavened batch. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed (1 Corinthians 5:7).

 

2. Let us put our faith on the finish work of Jesus daily. 

 

As Hebrew 10:1-18 explained the Sacrifice of Chris once for all, thus we have the boldness to call out Abba to God because we are bought by the blood of Jesus.  

 

Jesus shouted it is finished as he bowed and gave up His Spirit then when it is time ascend to heaven, seated at the right hand of the Father. For the Victory of the cross did not only save us but tore the veil that separates us from God the Father and opened the door of heaven for us to access to live a godly life pleasing to Him (2 Peter 1:3-4). 

 

3. In everything that we do, let us operate in love.

 

John 3:16  “For God so love the world that He gave His only Begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” It is the love of God for us that Jesus was born in a manger to die a criminals death on the cross for our salvation. As Apostle Paul prayed in Ephesian 3:14-19 that God will grant the believers according to His riches and Glory to be strengthen with might through His Spirit in the inner man that Christ will be grounded in love that may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height -to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. It was displayed with the woman in the well with Jesus (John 4:5-30) after she encountering Jesus she was used as a revival catalyst within her community that despise her. 

 

1 Corinthians 13:13 

And now these thee remains: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

 

 

Greatest is love; we can raise the dead, prophesy, speak in tongues and even faith that can move mountains but have not love, it profits me nothings says Paul. We have received the most extravagant love known therefore let is flow in love of God that people around will taste and see the love of God for them. Declaring that we in MAGH will be known as Men that ministers, lead and serve in love for Gods Glory.

 

4. As Jesus commanded, Let us create a habit of taking communion in our homes as head of the family teaching the significance and power of Gods love behind communion to our households and get rid of all the leaven (pattern of these world) in out households.

 

 

 

Prayer points:

 

1. Holy Spirit reveal it to us the power and significance of Jesus love displayed at the Cross that fulfilled the wrath of God for our sins and rescued from death not by our own works, in order for us to live a life surrendered and full of worship.

 

2. Holy Spirit may we encounter Jesus in His love like the Samaritan women in the well in our secret place that will compel us to be the vehicle of Gods revival in our marketplace even in the places that we are not liked.  

 

3. Holy Spirit help us to operate in love in all that we do, may it be in ministry, parenting, business, profession, marriage and leadership.

 

4.   Holy Spirit help us to rooted and grounded in love that we may comprehend the depths of Jesus love for us so that we will be filled with Your fullness as we spend time in the secret place.
