Ephesians 6:10-18 - “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles [predictable methods used in evil doing; way of searching after something; deceptions, schemes, trickeries] of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.”
Now that you are aware of your thoughts, arguments and every high thing, and recognise your strongholds, it is time to deploy the weapons of war - the armour of God - to demolish every evil fortification or mental barrier that stands against the knowledge of God in your mind and heart.
Whoever or whatever is in charge of your heart controls your reality.
Offer yourselves as a living sacrifice and then be transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:1-2).
Spiritual Truths
1. As long as the mind is held in check and is renewed to right thinking by the Word of God, the majority of spiritual attacks will fail.
2. When the mind is left unguarded, it becomes Satan primary battlefield which he uses to destroy lives, finances, business, marriages, emotions, ministries, relationships and so on.
3. The armour is of God and is from God. God is Spirit, so the armour is not carnal but mighty in God.
Your only chance of standing against the enemy is to have the whole armour on.
4. You cannot suspend your subscription to the Source (God). As your armour has its origin in God, constant fellowship with Him is paramount.
5. The armour of God empowers you in your spiritual walk.
6. You are encouraged to not put on part, but the whole armour of God on.
Failure to suit up properly might expose you to unnecessary risks and danger. No part of the armour of God is optional.
7. It is your responsibility to seek to achieve competency and dexterity in the understanding and the deployment of the whole armour of God.
Let’s explore the WOW
1. Gird your waist with Truth
- holds all the pieces of the armour together
2. Put on the Breastplate of Righteousness
- against separation, condemnation (Romans 8:1), alienation, isolation, false allegation by the accuser of the brethren, loneliness, or orphan spirit
3. Shod your feet with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace
- against anxiety (Philippians 4:7), depression, post trauma effect.
4. Above all, taking the Shield of Faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
- against doubt and unbelief
5. Take the Helmet of Salvation
- against any form of captivity, imprisonment (John 8:36)or incarceration
6. Sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Make word into a sword.
- against lies, false arguments and deceptions
- revelation through the Holy Spirit, against confusion and darkness of the mind
7. Praying Always with all prayer and supplication
- against pride (2 Chronicles 7:14-16)

1. Father, help me to keep a watch on the five gates - sight, hearing, smell, touch, and taste - which are access points into my mind and heart. I receive the grace to guard my heart with all diligence for out of it comes the issues of life. IJN
2. Father, I activate the discipline to recognise and understand the need to gain competency in the use of the weapons of warfare that You have provided for me to assert the victory You have obtain for me over strongholds in the heart and over Satan and his cohorts. IJN
3. Father, I receive the grace to be in constant fellowship with You to help me keep my weapons of warfare on always. I receive a deeper revelation of the value of each piece of armour and wisdom to deploy each weapon appropriately. IJN
