Mark 16:15-18– “And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believes and is baptised shall be saved; but he who does not believe shall be condemned.
17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;
18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
1. People: To whom they were to preach the gospel (verse 15).
Now their commission is enlarged, and they are authorised to go into all the world, into all parts of the world, and to preach the gospel of Christ to every creature, to the Gentiles as well as to the Jews; to every human creature that is capable of receiving it.
2. Purpose: The summary of the gospel they are to preach (verse 16).
Now go and tell them, “That if they believe the gospel, and give up themselves to be Christ’s disciples; if they renounce the devil, the world, and the flesh, and be devoted to Christ as their Lord and Saviour, they shall be saved from the guilt and power of sin, it shall not rule them, it shall not ruin them.
Pray Father, I receive the strength and courage to align myself with your mandate to reach out to souls with the gospel of Christ that they might renounce evil and experience the power of your saving grace. IJN
3. Power: What power they should be endowed with, for the confirmation of the doctrine they were to preach (Verse 17);
There are things, as a believer, you should be known by:
- The signs shall follow...
- Not everybody, but those who believe.
- In My name...
They will...
4. ....cast out demons
- learn the art of casting out demonic activities in your life, relationships and ministry.
5. ...speak with new tongues.
- easy communication. (Miracle of the mind).
6. ...take up serpents
- there are things that truly harmfully.
7. …if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them
- things prepared for you to engage with to destroy you shall by no means hurt you.
8. ...they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.
- sick folks, sick relationships, sick businesses, sick opportunities.
Pray Father, I thank You for the power and the authority You have bestowed on me for the confirmation of the gospel to an unbelieving world. As MAGH steps out, these signs follow us who believe: In Jesus name, we cast out demons; we speak with new tongues; we take up serpents; and if we drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt us; we lay hands on the sick, and they recover.
