Ephesians 1:15-19
“Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power. ”
2 Peter 1:3-4 - “As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”
> Revelation of the Christ will grant you access to divine power in things that pertain to life and godliness.
> His divine power has made us partakers of His divine nature.
> Satan will encourage you to chase anything but the revelation in the knowledge of God.
Prayer Points:
Prayer Point 1
Father, I annul anything that is obstructing my receiving the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ today. I obtain a fresh passion to chase after God wholeheartedly today.
A. Who is Jesus Christ to you?
2 Corinthians 5:16 -“Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer.”
After receiving the spirit of wisdom to decipher and do God’s will, and access the revelation of who Jesus Christ is, then the eyes of your understanding, which hitherto were darkened, can now be enlightened.
Matthew 6:22-23 - “The light of the body is the eye. If therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. 23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!”
> Without superior understanding, you cannot take advantage of the instruments of dominion God has provided for you.
Job 17:4 - For You have hid their heart from understanding; therefore You shall not exalt them.”
Proverbs 21:16 - “The man that wanders out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead.”
Daniel 5:14 - “I have even heard of thee that the spirit of the gods is in thee, and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom are found in thee.”
> Your rising, promotion, or lifting is tied to your understanding of the Kingdom mysteries.
> Access to superior understanding will make people marvel at the possibilities God is able to demonstrate in and through your life.
Prayer Point 2
1 John 5:20 - “And we know that the Son of God is come and hath given us an understanding, that we may know Him that is true; and we are in Him that is true, even in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and Eternal Life.”
Father, let your Light penetrate every nook and cranny of darkness in my mind and soul. As I meditate on your word, let my understanding be fruitful, unraveling the mysteries of the Kingdom. Make me like the children of Issachar: men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do. IJN
B. Now that the eyes of your understanding are enlightened, you will be equipped that you may know.
> Without light, you cannot have spiritual knowledge. Without knowledge, God’s people perish!
What do you need to know:
Calling - What is the hope of His calling.
Capital - The riches of the glory of His inheritances in the saints.
Capacity - The exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe.
Daniel 11:32b - “but the people who know their God shall be strong [shall build capacity], and do great exploits.”
Prayer Point 3
Father, amplify my capacity to believe You and Your Word. I thank You because you are fulfilling your calling and all the good pleasure of Your goodness and work of faith in me with power, that God may be glorified in me, and me in Him according to the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ IJN.
