God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made Him head over all things for the benefit of the church. And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself.
God made all things/everything:
• subject to the authority of Christ
• headed by/below/behind Christ
Purpose:
• To benefit the church by making it full and complete IN CHRIST.
• His purpose was that through the church (full and complete) all the rulers and powers in the heavenly world will now know God’s wisdom, which has so many forms.
How:
(A) Fills all things. Synonym: Permeates all things. By Christ’s omnipresent power and might in display through the Church. We, the members of the body, are not individually omnipresent. However, IN CHRIST, and through the fellowship of the Spirit, we are synchronised into one full and complete body IN CHRIST who is omnipresent. Christ fills all things everywhere, displaying the glory and manifold wisdom of God to all created things on/below and above the earth. And He uses us, His body, God’s own master pieces to do this. As the scripture says: “For IN CHRIST lives all the fullness of God in a human body”. The scripture in another version says “The church is Christ’s body, in which he speaks and acts, by which he fills everything with his presence”
(B) Full and complete. We are full and complete in Christ. Synonym: Overflowing and accomplished.
• “Not one of his bones shall be broken”. His body not dismembered – full and complete.
• “Those You have given Me I guarded and protected”. No maim, no blemish.
• “They stoned Paul and dragged him out of town, thinking he was dead. But as the believers gathered around him, he got up and went back into the town. The next day he left with Barnabas for Derbe.” Full and complete except for the scars.
• “Hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed”. Preserved, full and complete.
• “He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.”
• “So, you also are complete through your union WITH CHRIST, who is the head over every ruler and authority.”
• “Seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, FAR ABOVE all principality and power and might and dominion,”
• “And God raised us up WITH CHRIST and seated us with him in the heavenly realms IN CHRIST Jesus”
POSTURE: Seated with Christ in the place of honour, we speaking to the heavenly places, powers and dominions. We do not wrestle against flesh and blood*, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
** *Substance over form:
Don’t be deceived by the form in which the enemy disguises in, but rather, be aware of the spiritual substance behind the disguise. The devil may manifest in flesh and blood, but that’s just the form, the substance is the devil and his agencies. He is not omnipresent/not all-knowing/not all-powerful. He is a trailing being, an after the fact being and does not see into the future. He cannot even read your mind. However, he uses available historical data and patterns to try and predict our next move and where our heart is – looking for a loophole. Be careful what you say/confess. Be careful what you share, be careful what you post, be careful what you like. Be careful of data mining Delila’s.
BUT, on the other hand, we are of a kingdom of power. Our intel is provided by the Spirit who is all knowing. In this kingdom, we call those things which do not exist as though they did. We are a before the fact kingdom, a kingdom that creates and gives life. And not only that, IN CHRIST, our operations and intel are covered/firewalled by Christ. We are sealed with the Spirit, hidden in Christ and Christ in God (we are embedded in Christ and Christ is seated on the right hand of God FAR ABOVE the corruption of the world).
Imagery: Travailing in Prayer (Intel by the Spirit, pushing and groaning by the body, the utterance is the word of God (Jesus and His ministry) and direction by God in according to His blueprints.
When we pray and travail, we are basically yielding to the Spirit who prays and travails through us.
He pushes from the depth of our being, the contractions of travail symbolising birthing and living waters from our bellies – the emptying out of the jars of clay to be filled again. The body, in fellowship with the Spirit pushes, and the mouth/head – which is Christ – speaks and what is spoken is the sword of the Spirit. Effective in saving by bringing conviction to sinners and effective in offence against the enemy. Let us spend some time to pray. With the revelation that we are spiritually embedded with Christ and with intel from the Spirit, lets make declarations to the heavenly places.

• Our individual lives
