Lunching out into the Deep

 

Luke 5:3-10 “Then He got into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. And He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat. When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon,

Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch. But Simon answered and said to Him,

Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless, at Your word I will let down the net. And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.

So, they signalled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink. When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying,

Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord. For he and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish which they had taken; And so also were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid. From now on you will catch men.”

 

·      His Choice and Calling

Luke 5:3 – Then He got into one boat which was Simon’s”.

John 15:16 – “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.

The Lord has need of it.

Luke 19:31- “And if anyone asks you, ‘Why are you loosing it?’ thus you shall say to him, ‘Because the Lord has need of it.’ ”

1Corinth1:26 - “For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called.”

Romans 8:28- “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”

 

·      His Instruction

Luke 5:4- “When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”

Matthew 4:19- “And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

 

 2 Kings 19:30 –“And the remnant who have escaped of the house of Judah Shall again take root downward, And bear fruit upward.”

 

·      Our Response

Luke 5:5 – “But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless, at Your word I will let down the net.”

This is where the Transformed mind for Territorial Transformation kicks in.

 

Prayer Point:

Psalms 42:7- “Deep calls unto deep at the noise of Your waterfalls; All Your waves and billows have gone over me.”
